Job summary

Aurizon is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of off-road haulage operations across the Murrin Murrin site. Reporting to the Terminal Operations Manager, you will lead a team of operational leaders and support staff to achieve safety, people, and performance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Leads large operational teams within off-road haulage, mining services or heavy industry.
• Experience leading leaders in a safety-critical environment.
• Strong capability in operational leadership, workforce planning and performance management.
• Commitment to safety leadership and operational risk management.
• Commercial acumen and experience managing operational performance against customer and business objectives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to drive accountability, influence outcomes and lead change across a complex operation.

Responsibilities

• Leading and embedding a strong safety culture across all haulage operations.
• Providing leadership, coaching and support to operational leaders and support staff to achieve safety, people and performance outcomes.
• Ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of haulage services in accordance with contractual and operational requirements.
• Driving workforce capability, succession planning and employee development across multiple operational teams.
• Monitoring operational, safety and financial performance, implementing initiatives to improve productivity, reliability and service delivery.
• Managing operational performance and ensuring compliance with company standards, legislative requirements and safety obligations.
• Building effective relationships with customers, site stakeholders and internal teams to support operational success.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and support business objectives.
