Job summary

Aurizon is seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery of terminal and logistics operations in Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Terminal Operations Manager, you will lead frontline teams to achieve safety, service and operational excellence in a busy rail terminal environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics or rail terminal environments.
• Experience leading large frontline teams in logistics or heavy industry.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with diverse work groups.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.
• Analytical mindset to improve operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Sustain safety culture and implement safety standards and initiatives.
• Achieve DIFOT targets and on-time running to meet customer KPIs.
• Develop and monitor budgets; control costs and maximise revenue.
• Manage asset utilisation and labour productivity across the business.
• Maximise sales opportunities and general freight growth.
• Collaborate with teams to optimise resources and meet objectives.
• Direct and manage allocation and deployment of resources.
• Provide frontline leadership across the employee lifecycle.
• Develop methods for safe resolution of non-routine problems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
