Mitalent Recruitment Group in Sydney is seeking a technically strong Finance Professional/Business Partner to support the CFO as Head of Finance, moving the finance function from transactional to true business partnering. You will lead a high-performing team and drive a strategic finance agenda in a regulated environment.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on governance, FP&A, automation and insightful commercial analysis to support growth.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or equivalent required.
• Head of Finance/FP&A or finance manager background.
• Experience in automation and BI solutions.
• Hands-on with full finance function.
• Senior leadership in retail/wholesale/FMCG preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team across finance operations, financial control, payroll, FP&A and external reporting.
• Develop an outstanding business partnering model and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive the financial sustainability agenda including oversight of efficiency, productivity and revenue improvement initiatives.
• Improve financial processes, systems and reporting using technology and automation.
• Act as a trusted adviser to the CFO and Executive Team.
• Own month end, management reporting, cashflow, working capital, commercial analysis and forecast/budgeting.

The Company

A unique opportunity to join a growing retail business as Head of Finance and take ownership of the finance function at an important stage of the Company's growth. This is a highly influential finance leadership position where financial governance, finance business partnering and commercial performance are all critical to the next phase of growth.

The Role

We are seeking a technically strong Finance Professional/Business Partner to support the CFO who will focus on long-range strategy and take the finance team from a transactional team to a true Business Partnering team. The role involves leading and managing a high performing team and leading a function that operates as a strategic business partner whilst maintaining the discipline required in a regulated environment. The role is clear, this is a hands on roll up the sleeves type of role to lead your finance team to the next level - clean up areas that require attention and move the finance team into a business partnering team.

Key responsibilities include;

• Lead and develop a high-performing team across finance operations, financial control, payroll, FP&A and external reporting to create a service-oriented culture.
• Lead the development of an outstanding business partnering model and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Driving the financial sustainability agenda including oversight of efficiency, productivity and revenue improvement initiatives.
• Driving improvement across financial processes, systems and reporting using technology and automation.
• Act as a trusted adviser to the CFO and Executive Team.
• Own month end, management reporting, manage cashflow, working capital, commercial analysis and forecast/budgeting.

The Candidate

• CA, CPA or equivalent.
• Head of Finance, Financial Controller or strong FP&A / Finance Manager background.
• Demonstrated experience in automation and business intelligence solutions.
• Hands on in approach and experience owning full function Finance.
• Strong track record in commercial business partnering, financial modeling and driving commercial outcomes.
• Experience in a senior leadership role within retail, wholesale, distribution or FMCG highly regarded.
