Primo Foods, part of the global JBS Group, is seeking a Head of Engineering & Reliability to lead the next phase of engineering transformation across our national manufacturing network.

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role acts as Chief Engineer for Primo Foods and Premier Beehive, providing strategic leadership across engineering, reliability, asset management, capital investment and manufacturing capability.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leader with track record delivering transformation in large manufacturing environments.
• Chartered status or advanced engineering qualification preferred.
• Proven success improving reliability, asset performance and governance.
• Experience leading digital engineering initiatives and data-driven asset management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Primo Foods' long-term Engineering, Reliability and Asset Management strategy.
• Lead engineering transformation across multiple manufacturing sites, improving reliability and asset performance.
• Act as Chief Engineer on engineering risk, capital investment and manufacturing capability.
• Drive digital engineering, predictive maintenance and data-driven asset solutions.
• Partner with Operations leaders to improve safety, quality, availability and productivity.

We are seeking a Head of Engineering & Reliability to lead the next phase of engineering transformation across our national manufacturing network. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role acts as Chief Engineer for Primo Foods and Premier Beehive, providing strategic leadership across engineering, reliability, asset management, capital investment and manufacturing capability.

The Opportunity

As Head of Engineering & Reliability, you will be responsible for developing and executing Primo Foods' long-term Engineering, Reliability and Asset Management Strategy while leading a significant transformation agenda across our national manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and deliver the Engineering, Reliability and Asset Management strategy across Primo Foods.
• Lead engineering transformation across multiple manufacturing sites, improving reliability, asset performance and technical governance.
• Act as Chief Engineer and senior advisor on engineering risk, asset integrity, capital investment and long-term manufacturing capability.
• Drive digital engineering, predictive maintenance, advanced analytics, AI-enabled asset performance solutions and modern engineering practices.
• Partner with Operations leaders to improve safety, quality, availability, productivity and cost performance.
• Lead sustainability-focused engineering initiatives, including energy efficiency, asset optimisation and future-ready manufacturing practices.
• Build a high-performing engineering function with strong capability, succession and leadership depth.

About You

You are a strategic engineering executive with a strong track record of leading transformation within complex manufacturing or asset-intensive industries. You combine deep technical expertise with commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at executive level.

You will bring:

• Senior experience leading engineering, maintenance, reliability or asset management in a large manufacturing or asset-intensive environment.
• Engineering qualifications, with Chartered status highly regarded.
• Proven success improving reliability, asset performance, engineering governance and operational outcomes.
• Experience leading capital programs, digital engineering initiatives and data-driven asset management practices.
• Strong commercial acumen, executive influence and the ability to build high-performing teams.
• FMCG, food manufacturing, industrial processing, mining, energy or utilities experience will be highly regarded.
