Job summary

CommBank's CommSec unit seeks a Head of Engineering, Customer & Digital to shape the digital and AI technology strategy for Australia’s leading online share-trading platform. You will partner with product leaders to define the digital roadmap and deliver high-quality technology solutions at pace for investors.

You’ll build outstanding engineering capability, grow diverse teams across locations, and champion modern cloud, DevSecOps and continuous delivery practices while owning performance,

Qualifications

• Proven experience shaping and delivering digital, engineering and AI technology strategies.
• Strong people leadership capability, with experience developing leaders and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and align teams around a shared product and technology vision.
• Deep knowledge of modern software engineering, architecture and microservices.
• Experience leading cloud-based technology teams, ideally with exposure to AWS.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, release management and reliable technology operations.
• A data-informed approach to prioritisation, investment decisions and continuous improvement.
• Experience in investment, securities or digital financial services would be highly regarded.

Within CommSec Technology, you’ll act as the senior technology partner for the Customer and Digital teams. You’ll combine deep engineering expertise with commercial judgement, clear decision-making and influential communication to:
