Job summary

SchoolHouse is assisting a co-educational Anglican School in the Hills District of Sydney to appoint a Head of Commercial Studies. The role is a full-time, permanent appointment with responsibility for Business, Commerce, Economics and/or Legal Studies across key year levels.

Candidate must hold relevant education qualifications, current NESA Accreditation and WWCC, and working rights for Australia. A collaborative team environment and strong pastoral focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
• Current NESA Accreditation and WWCC (or eligibility).
• Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching Business, Commerce, Economics and/or Legal Studies.
• Working Rights for Australia (or in process).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Commercial Studies program across senior secondary, coordinating content and assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning, wellbeing and pastoral care.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education, etc.)
• Current NESA Accreditation and WWCC (or eligibility to gain)
• Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching subjects outlined above
• Motivation and a passion to work with and support young people on their journey through secondary education
• Enthusiasm and flexibility with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
