Weir seeks a Head of Business Technology APAC to lead the technology agenda across Australia, Asia Pacific. Based in Brisbane or Sydney, this hybrid role partners with senior leaders to translate business priorities into strategic tech outcomes, delivering major transformation programs and measurable value across the region.

You will empower a regional technology team, steer ERP and digital initiatives, ensure governance, and collaborate with global teams.

Qualifikationen

Senior technology leader experience in a complex global organisation.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape technology strategy.
Experience leading ERP and large-scale transformation programs, preferably SAP-based.

As Head of Business Technology APAC, you will partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into strategic technology outcomes, drive the success of major transformation initiatives, and ensure technology investments deliver measurable value. Working across regional and global teams, you will influence decision making, strengthen governance, and champion technology solutions that support Weir's long term success.

What you'll do

Strategic Business Partnership - Act as the trusted technology advisor to APAC senior leaders, aligning technology initiatives with business strategy, growth objectives, and operational priorities.
Technology Strategy & Transformation - Translate business needs into scalable technology solutions and drive regional alignment with major enterprise programs, including digital and ERP transformation initiatives.
Governance & Demand Management - Lead the prioritisation and governance of technology demand, ensuring investment decisions align with enterprise standards and deliver maximum business value.
Value, Risk & Compliance - Oversee value realisation, risk management, security, compliance, and data governance to ensure technology investments deliver measurable outcomes.
Leadership & Capability Building - Lead and develop a high-performing regional technology team, fostering strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
Global Collaboration & Influence - Partner with global technology, architecture, and service teams to deliver successful outcomes through influence, while supporting stakeholders across the APAC region with up to 20% travel.

What you'll bring

Proven experience as a senior technology leader, Head of IT, or strategic business partner within a complex, global organisation.
Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and shaping technology strategy, investment decisions, and business priorities.
Strong knowledge of enterprise platforms, ERP systems, and large-scale transformation programs, ideally including SAP S/4HANA.
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and delivering outcomes within matrixed, multinational environments.
Expertise in change management, business readiness, technology adoption, and benefits realisation for major transformation initiatives.
Commercially minded with strong strategic thinking, governance knowledge, and the ability to balance global standards with regional business needs.
