Job summary

Morgan Consulting in Melbourne seeks a Lead AI Engineer to design and deliver production-grade AI at enterprise scale. You will mentor teams, shape technical direction, and collaborate with Product, Architecture and Platform teams to deploy secure, scalable AI solutions.

You will drive best practices in ML engineering, feature engineering, model deployment and observability while championing Responsible AI across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading AI/ML engineering teams in large-scale environments.
• Deep expertise in Python and Java with production-grade AI solutions.
• Strong grasp of ML lifecycle: feature engineering, deployment, monitoring.
• Experience with Databricks, cloud-native architectures and AI observability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across AI/ML initiatives and mentoring.
• Define technical direction and set engineering standards.
• Lead architecture and solution design for scalable AI systems.
• Oversee POCs, spikes and adoption of new AI technologies.
• Ensure responsible AI principles and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive CI/CD, DevOps practices and quality delivery.
