Job summary

Last St is a family-owned artisan distillery and brewery in Beechworth, Victoria. We are seeking a creative Head Chef who loves food, wants to influence our kitchen and menus, and will lead hands-on cooking and kitchen operations.

In this on-site, permanent full-time role you will develop new dishes, collaborate with managers, mentor the kitchen team and ensure consistently excellent dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Proven Head Chef experience in a busy kitchen.
• Experience creating dishes, specials and seasonal menus.
• Strong leadership to motivate and support kitchen teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen service and ensure smooth operations.
• Hands-on cooking and service leadership.
• Develop and evolve menus with local produce.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Manage stock, suppliers and food costs.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance.
