Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in a professional kitchen.
• At least 2 years in Head/Sous Chef or senior leadership.
• Experience in cafés/restaurants in Australia.
• Knowledge of Western and East/Southeast Asian dishes.
• Proven ability to supervise staff and manage service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and lead the team.
• Prepare, cook and service in alignment with standards.
• Train and support cooks; optimize workflow.
• Plan daily prep, allocation and service timing.
• Maintain food quality, portions and plating standards.
• Ensure cleanliness, stock, and safe operations.
• Drive kitchen improvements for productivity.
