About the role

Di Palma's, a highly regarded Italian restaurant in Kew East, is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our talented kitchen team. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This is a full-time position based in our Kew East location.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing innovative seasonal menus that showcase your expertise in Italian cuisine
  • Managing and training kitchen staff to uphold our high culinary standards
  • Ensuring efficient kitchen operations, including inventory management, cost control, and food safety compliance
  • Collaborating with the management team to align the culinary vision with the restaurant's overall strategy
  • Participating in menu planning, recipe development, and quality control processes
  • Fostering a positive and productive work environment in the kitchen

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant environment
  • Strong technical skills in Italian cuisine, with a deep understanding of flavour profiles, presentation, and plating
