Job summary

Northampton Area School District is seeking an Anticipated Head Baseball Coach at Northampton High School for around October 13, 2026. The role provides leadership, coordination and supervision of the baseball program at all levels.

The successful candidate will oversee instruction, develop strategy, ensure compliance with district and state athletic guidelines, manage staff, and support the college recruiting process.

Qualifications

• Possesses Pennsylvania teaching certification, preferred.
• Possesses prior coaching experience.
• Experience as a player in applicable sport.
• Knowledge of PIAA rules and program compliance.
• Ability to demonstrate skills and coach effectively.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the program and develop strategy for contests.
• Coach fundamentals and develop team skills.
• Model professional conduct for athletes and staff.
• Adhere to PIAA and district policies and procedures.
• Ensure athletes complete health/physical forms.
• Oversee equipment inventory and requisitions.
• Coordinate staff and assign duties across grades 7-12.
• Supervise conduct at contests and practices.
• Communicate with athletes and parents before the season.
• Support college recruiting process when needed.
