The Langham, Melbourne is seeking a seasoned Head Bartender / Bar Supervisor to lead Aria Bar & Lounge, delivering exceptional beverage experiences in a luxury setting. You will manage shifts, coach staff, and uphold the hotel's renowned standards of service.

This hands-on leadership role requires expert cocktail knowledge, strong team leadership, and a commitment to safety and hospitality excellence, with roster flexibility including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Head Bartender, Bar Supervisor, Senior Bartender, Team Leader, or similar leadership role.
• Strong expertise in cocktails, wines, spirits, and premium beverage service.
• Current Victorian RSA certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and mentor bartenders and Beverage colleagues.
• Ensure cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverages meet Langham's exacting standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and memorable moments.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and beverage cost efficiencies.

About theRole

As Head Bartender / Bar Supervisor, youwill play a key role in the daily operations of Aria Bar & Lounge, ensuringexceptional beverage quality, outstanding guest experiences, and seamlessservice delivery.

You will lead shifts, coach and develop teammembers, and support the Food & Beverage leadership team in maintaining TheLangham's renowned standards of luxury hospitality. What You'llBe Doing

• Leading and supporting the day-to-day operations of Aria Bar &Lounge
• Ensuring all cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverages are preparedand presented to The Langham's exacting standards
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences and creating memorablemoments
• Leading shifts and motivating team members to achieve serviceexcellence
• Coaching, training, and mentoring bartenders and Food &Beverage colleagues
• Conducting daily briefings and sharing product knowledge,promotions, and service updates
• Supporting stock control, inventory management, ordering, andbeverage cost efficiencies
• Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, andworkplace safety
• Handling guest feedback professionally and resolving concernspromptly
• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and colleague developmentinitiatives
• Ensuring compliance with RSA, food safety, health and safety, andliquor licensing requirements
• Driving a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuousimprovement
• Supporting departmental goals and contributing to the ongoingsuccess of the Food & Beverage operation

About You

You are an energetic and passionatehospitality professional with a genuine love for creating memorable guestexperiences and helping others succeed.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Head Bartender, Bar Supervisor, SeniorBartender, Team Leader, or similar hospitality leadership role
• Strong expertise in cocktails, wines, spirits, and premium beverageservice
• Current Victorian RSA certification
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and engage ateam
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• A hands-on approach with a commitment to operational excellence
