Job summary

Genusplus Group is seeking a hands-on HD Mechanic for our Perth-based workshop in Kenwick, WA. You will service, maintain and repair a diverse fleet of plant and equipment across major projects, with a Monday–Friday roster and a role that keeps you onsite with daily home time.

Ideal candidates will be trade-qualified heavy-duty mechanics with experience on heavy plant and mobile equipment, strong fault-finding abilities, and a current driver's licence (HR desirable).

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic with experience on heavy plant and mobile equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with attention to safety and compliance.
• Current Driver's Licence (HR desirable) and able to pass pre-employment medical and National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on fleet and plant.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform breakdown repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure asset reliability.
• Complete job cards and service reports accurately and maintain maintenance records.
• Liaise with workshop team and fleet coordinators to maximise asset availability.
• Work in a Kenwick, WA workshop on a Monday–Friday roster or similar.

HD Mechanic - Perth Based

Great team environment Genus is seeking an experienced Workshop Mechanic to join our Fleet team based in Kenwick, WA.

• Monday to Friday
• Kenwick-based workshop role (home every night)
• Immediate start for the right candidate

This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance and reliability of a diverse fleet of plant and equipment across major projects.

We are offering flexibility with either a Monday to Friday roster.

• Work with a well-established team supporting major mining clients (FMG, Rio Tinto)
• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of fleet and plant
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform breakdown repairs
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
• Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards
• Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately
• Liaise with workshop team and fleet coordinators to ensure asset availability
• Truck-mounted EWPs
• Cranes (VLC & crane borers)
• Frannas
• Rigid and prime mover trucks
• Earthmoving equipment (excavators 5–35t)
• Drill rigs (T45, Soilmec, IMT)
• Light vehicles (Hilux, Prado)
• Trade qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Experience working on heavy plant and mobile equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Relevant Trade Qualification
