Job summary

Catalyst Metals Limited in Western Australia is seeking a qualified Heavy Duty Fitter to join our maintenance team supporting underground operations. You will service, repair and maintain Sandvik and other underground equipment, with a well-resourced workshop and access to a broad parts inventory.

This long-life role offers a stable environment, a FIFO roster, private health cover, quarterly bonus, and ongoing OEM training as you contribute to reliability improvements across the Plutonic Gold

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Duty Diesel Fitting (Australian recognised).
• Experience maintaining underground mining equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capability.
• Quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and team-based work.
• Ability to work autonomously and to plan.
• Current WA C-Class Driver's Licence.
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on mobile mining equipment including underground & surface fleets.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults across the underground & surface fleets.
• Maintain and repair Sandvik development and production drills, load and haul equipment, Normet charge rigs, Volvo ITs and CAT & Volvo ancillary mining equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance inspections and component change-outs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability programs.
• Work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to maximise equipment availability.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety standards, procedures and legislative requirements.
