Job summary

Fortescue’s Solomon mine is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter/Diesel Mechanic to join the Ancillary Maintenance team. The role involves maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment (dozers, loaders, graders) to ensure high equipment availability and strong operational performance.

You will perform planned and breakdown maintenance, diagnose faults, and work across workshop and field settings, adhering to Fortescue safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Broad hands-on experience with ancillary equipment (dozers, loaders, graders).
• Experience in mining or a similar heavy industry.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.

Roster: 7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth and Busselton

Join Fortescue’s Ancillary Maintenance team at Solomon and help keep a diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment operating safely and reliably. You’ll maintain and repair dozers, loaders, graders and other ancillary equipment, contributing to strong equipment availability and day-to-day operational performance.
