1800 Drivers is seeking an experienced HC/Refrigerated Truck Driver for Newcastle. You will operate refrigerated trucks, transport temperature-sensitive goods, and ensure compliance with safety and temperature regulations.

The role requires a current HC licence, ability to perform dock work, and willingness to work overtime. Training and safety protocols are provided to maintain cargo integrity and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Current HC Licence with B condition.
• Able to perform dock work.
• Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test.
• Able to complete daily run sheets.
• Experience with coupling & decoupling of trailers.
• Available for overtime during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerated trucks in a safe, efficient manner.
• Transport perishable goods ensuring proper temperature control.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and function.
• Monitor and adjust refrigeration to maintain cargo temperature.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers and warehouse staff.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time.

As a HC/Refrigerated Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting temperature-sensitive goods to various destinations. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the integrity of the cargo, ensuring it reaches its destination in optimal condition. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and a commitment to delivering quality service, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain refrigerated trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Transport perishable goods while adhering to temperature control regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle’s safety and functionality.
• Monitor and adjust refrigeration systems to maintain the required cargo temperature.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
• Complete accurate and timely delivery paperwork.

What you need:

• Be able to reserves and plenty of dock work.
