Safex Metro Transport Pty Ltd in Brisbane's south (Parkinson QLD) is seeking a professional Truck Driver to join its heavy freight team. You will operate prime movers and trailers, transporting containers and general freight across metropolitan Brisbane, regional Queensland and interstate routes.

The role emphasizes safety, load restraint, accurate documentation and timely delivery, with early starts and varied shifts to meet operational needs.

Competenze

• At least 12 months of relevant experience driving prime movers and trailer combinations, including container transport and freight distribution work.
• Sound knowledge of load restraint requirements, fatigue management obligations and mass limits under the Heavy Vehicle National Law.

Mansioni

• Operate prime movers, semi-trailers and other heavy vehicles to transport containers and freight to customer locations.
• Collect and deliver loaded and empty containers from ports, container yards, warehouses, distribution centres and customer sites.
• Plan routes and delivery schedules so that freight moves efficiently and on time.
• Comply with the Heavy Vehicle National Law, fatigue management, mass limits and load restraint standards.
• Complete work diaries and transport documentation accurately.
• Liaise with dispatch, customers, ports, depots and loading facilities about deliveries and transport requirements.
• Deliver freight in line with customer instructions and service standards.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and safe driving practices to minimise risk.
