Job summary

Alfabs Transport & Logistics in Kurri Kurri is seeking experienced HC/MC Drivers to join our specialised transport team supporting mining, engineering and infrastructure projects across Australia.

You will be responsible for the safe loading, transport and delivery of oversized fabricated steel and mining equipment, ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislation and company standards while maintaining professionalism and safety on every job.

Qualifications

• HC licence required; MC licence highly regarded.
• Experience transporting oversized loads and fabricated steel.
• Experience with mining equipment, mobile plant and general freight.
• Strong understanding of CoR, HVNL and WHS requirements.
• Professional, with excellent communication and safety focus.
• Forklift licence essential; pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Safe loading, transport and delivery of oversized fabricated steel and mining equipment.
• Operate a diverse range of equipment safely and professionally.
• Ensure work complies with Chain of Responsibility and company standards.
• Overtime, night/weekend/interstate work may be required to support operations.

Based in Kurri Kurri, our fleet transports everything from oversized fabricated steel and structural components through to underground mining equipment, mobile plant, consumables and specialised project cargo.

About the Role

This is far more than a point-to-point driving role.

You'll be responsible for the safe loading, transport and delivery of oversized fabricated steel, mining equipment, mobile plant and general freight, ensuring every job is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and company standards.

Our work is predominantly Monday to Friday, with regular overtime opportunities. Occasional night, weekend and interstate work may be required to support operational needs.

What You'll Bring

You will have:

• HC Licence (minimum) with MC Licence highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience transporting oversized loads and fabricated steel products
• Experience with mining equipment, mobile plant, access equipment and general freight
• Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Heavy Vehicle National Law and WHS requirements
• A professional attitude with excellent communication skills
• A genuine commitment to safety, compliance and customer service
• A current Forklift Licence (essential)
• The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical together with ongoing drug and alcohol screening

Highly Regarded

• Dogman and/or Rigger tickets
• Rail industry experience or current rail inductions
