Job summary

Australian Personnel Solutions – Smithfield NSW is seeking experienced HC drivers for ongoing palletised freight work across Sydney Metro, including Penrith and Ingleburn.

Deliver and collect palletised freight, perform pre-start checks, and comply with transport requirements while upholding safety, Chain of Responsibility, and professionalism. Immediate starts available for reliable, punctual applicants with a current HC licence.

Qualifications

• Current HC licence.
• Minimum 2 years Australian heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Reversing and trailer handling skills.
• Experience with coupling/uncoupling trailers.
• Experience operating tautliner/side curtain trailers.
• Strong load restraint and fatigue management knowledge.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to start early, around 5:00am–6:00am.
• Pass medical, drug and alcohol screening and police check.
• Current Driver History Report.
• Fitness to Drive Certificate.

We are currently seeking experienced HC Drivers for ongoing palletised freight work across Sydney Metro, including Penrith and Ingleburn.

The Role

Drive HC vehicles safely across Sydney Metro routes
Deliver and collect palletised freight
Complete daily pre-start checks and required paperwork
Ensure accurate compliance with transport requirements
Manage load restraint and fatigue requirements
Follow Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations
Carry out general freight duties as required
Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism

About You

To be successful, you will have:

Current HC licence
Minimum 2 years' Australian heavy vehicle driving experience
Confident reversing and trailer handling skills
Experience with coupling and uncoupling trailers
Experience operating tautliner/side curtain trailers
Strong knowledge of load restraint and fatigue management
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Ability to work early starts, generally 5:00am–6:00am

Pay Rates

HC Drivers – $43.78 per hour
10–12 hour day shifts | Ongoing work | Immediate starts available
