East Coast Freight Distribution on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced HC driver for a regular evening shuttle between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. This casual role offers steady hours and a predictable routine that fits a balanced lifestyle.

You'll operate a semi-trailer fleet from our Kunda Park depot, perform safety checks, swap trailers at Archerfield, and complete end-of-shift paperwork, with nights finishing around midnight.

HC Driver – Regular Evening Shuttle | Sunshine Coast

East Coast Freight Distribution is looking for an experienced and reliable HC driver to join our team for a regular afternoon/evening run between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, appreciates a predictable routine and likes having their days and weekends free.

We’re a well-established, family-owned transport company based at Kunda Park, with a friendly team, modern equipment and a strong focus on safety.

The role

You’ll be responsible for our regular nightly semi-trailer run between our Kunda Park depot and our customer’s facility in Archerfield.

Duties

• Starting at approximately 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Preparing your truck and trailer, including pre-start safety checks.
• Driving to Archerfield, swapping trailers and returning to Kunda Park.
• Unloading the returning trailer using a forklift and securing the freight in our shed.
• Completing the required paperwork and end-of-shift procedures.
• Taking your required rest break during the shift.

It’s a consistent run with a familiar route and routine. There may occasionally be earlier starts or additional work during busy periods.

Hours and pay

Casual position, with regular work five nights per week.

$41.33 per hour afternoon shift rate.

Overtime paid at applicable Award rates.

Approximately 35–40 hours per week, depending on operational requirements.

Generally 4 pm to 11 pm, with some variation.

Almost always finished by midnight.
