HC Driver – Kalbar, QLD

Salary: AUD40 - AUD40 per hour

The Role

We are seeking a skilled HC Driver to join a busy fresh produce operation in Kalbar, QLD. Working in the agriculture industry, you’ll play a key role in transporting fresh produce from farm to facility while supporting harvest operations. This is a hands-on role that combines driving with practical farm-based tasks, working within a collaborative team that values safety, communication, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

This role is essential to ensuring produce is delivered on time and in top condition, while also supporting harvest operations. Your day will include:

• Safely transporting fresh produce from farm to facility, maintaining quality and timeliness
• Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting vehicle issues promptly
• Planning efficient routes, managing delivery records, and using GPS/CB radios
• Assisting harvest operations, including machinery operation (training provided) and crop movement
• Performing preventative maintenance and daily safety checks on vehicles and equipment
• Supporting machinery loading/unloading and produce handling when required
• Communicating effectively with harvest, packing, and logistics teams to meet daily targets
• Building professional relationships with farmers, operators, and stakeholders
