Job summary

Team Global Express in Gracemere, Queensland, is seeking an experienced HC Driver for a permanent full-time role based at the Somerset operation. Qualifications

• Current and valid HC Driver Licence – mandatory.
• Experience in a similar commercial driving role.
• Experience transporting general freight is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of load restraint and safe use of straps and chains.
• Ability to safely load, secure and transport freight.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Complete pickups and deliveries across Gracemere and surrounding areas.

• Operate HC vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete deliveries and collections within designated timeframes.
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Restrain loads using straps and chains and ensure loads are secured.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start checks and report defects.
• Check freight and documentation for accuracy.
• Communicate with Operations about delays or issues.
• Follow company procedures and CoR, fatigue-management requirements.
• Report hazards, near misses and incidents; maintain WHS standards.

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced HC Driver to join our Gracemere – Somerset operation on a permanent full-time basis.

This is a Monday to Friday role with a 7:00am start, responsible for completing pickups and deliveries safely and efficiently while ensuring our customers' freight reaches its destination within required timeframes.

About the Role

• Complete pickups and deliveries across Gracemere and surrounding areas.
• Work Monday to Friday with a 7:00am start.
• Operate HC vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete deliveries and collections within designated timeframes.
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Safely restrain loads using appropriate equipment, including straps and chains.
• Ensure freight is correctly secured before commencing your journey.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start checks and report any defects or concerns.
• Check freight and relevant documentation for accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with the Operations team regarding delays or delivery issues.
• Follow all company procedures and operational requirements.
• Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), load restraint and fatigue-management requirements.
• Report hazards, near misses and incidents in accordance with company processes.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) at all times.

What You'll Bring

• Current and valid HC Driver Licence – mandatory.
