MLG Oz is seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent for mining and haulage operations in Kalgoorlie, WA. You will lead site activities, drive safety, and mentor teams while delivering safe, productive outcomes.

OPERATIONS SUPERINTENDENT – MINING & HAULAGE

MLG Oz is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Operations Superintendent to join our operations and play a key role in driving operational success.

What You'll Be Doing

As Operations Superintendent, you'll be at the forefront of our project operations, providing strong leadership, driving performance and ensuring our teams have the support and direction they need to succeed.

You'll Be Responsible For

• Leading Site Operations: Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring operational targets and haulage strategies are delivered safely and efficiently.


• Driving Safety: Lead by example, championing a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all WHS requirements.


• Developing High-Performing Teams: Lead, mentor and motivate site personnel, building a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.


• Maximising Equipment Performance: Drive equipment utilisation, availability and productivity while ensuring safe operation and effective maintenance.


• Delivering Results: Monitor operational performance, identify improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies across the project.


• Managing Commercial Performance: Maintain strong cost control, reporting and commercial awareness to support project profitability.


• Building Strong Relationships: Work closely with Project Managers, clients and site teams to deliver successful project outcomes.


• Driving Continuous Improvement: Challenge the status quo, implement practical solutions and identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity and performance.

To Be Successful, You'll Have

• A minimum of 4 years' supervisory or project leadership experience within mining and haulage operations.


• Successful completion of the Statutory Supervisor Examination.


• BSBWHS411 – Implement and Monitor WHS Policies, Procedures and Programs.


• BSBWHS414 – Contribute to WHS Risk Management.


• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing Fatigue Management Strategies.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop and hold teams accountable.


• Sound commercial acumen, including cost control and operational reporting.


• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in challenging environments.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.


• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.


• A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for safety, performance and continuous improvement.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project management systems.


• A current valid MC licence.
