Job summary

Piara Waters Senior High School in Western Australia invites applications for a permanent full-time Humanities and Social Sciences teacher commencing Term 1, 2027. You will deliver the WA curriculum with a student-centred, evidence-informed approach and contribute to a growing foundation school.

The role emphasises flexible spaces, differentiated teaching, collaboration with the Global Studies team and languages, and the potential to deliver ATAR units.

Qualifications

• Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
• Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Western Australian Curriculum with a student-centred and evidence-informed approach.
• Create engaging learning experiences and promote student engagement, achievement and 21st century skills.
• Collaborate with the Global Studies team and colleagues across the school and wider community.
• Deliver units across humanities, social sciences and languages; ATAR units desirable.
