Job summary

Worthington Motor Group in Somersby, NSW, is seeking a reliable Handyperson / Maintenance Officer to keep our dealership buildings, facilities and grounds well-presented. This hands-on role rewards practical problem solving and a pride in a tidy, safe workplace.

You will perform general maintenance, minor repairs, painting and grounds care, while coordinating with contractors and maintaining records. A current Australian driver's licence and the ability to work independently are essential for

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance or landscaping.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Comfort with maintenance and gardening equipment.

• Australian driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the presentation and condition of buildings and grounds.
• Perform general handyman and maintenance tasks.

• Pressure clean outdoor areas and surfaces.

Worthington Motor Group is seeking a reliable and hands‐on Handyperson / Maintenance Officer to help maintain our dealership buildings, facilities and grounds.

This is a varied role for someone who takes pride in keeping a workplace safe, tidy, functional and well‑presented.

Handyperson / Maintenance Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall presentation and condition of dealership buildings and grounds.

• Perform general handyman and maintenance tasks.

• Carry out minor repairs, adjustments, replacements and preventative maintenance.

• Assist with painting, patching, touch‑ups and general property improvements.

• Maintain lawns, gardens, hedges and landscaped areas.

• Pressure clean driveways, pathways, outdoor areas and building surfaces.

• Keep outdoor and common areas clean, tidy and safe.

• Monitor buildings, facilities and grounds for maintenance issues.

• Identify potential hazards and report maintenance concerns.

• Prioritise and complete day‑to‑day maintenance requests across the site.

• Coordinate and liaise with external trades and contractors when specialist work is required.

• Arrange contractor access and oversee works to completion.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities and outstanding works.

• Support workplace health and safety standards across all areas of the business.

About You

• Practical, reliable and self‑motivated

• Experience in property maintenance, handyman work, facilities maintenance, landscaping or similar

• Able to work independently and prioritise tasks

• Confident using maintenance and gardening equipment

• Safety‑conscious with strong attention to detail

• Current Australian Driver's Licence
