Handyman / Maintenance All-Rounder role covering residential and commercial sites across Melbourne. You’ll run your day, diagnose issues, and complete jobs end-to-end with autonomy and ownership.

The role is hands-on, client-facing, and requires strong practical skills across general maintenance and carpentry. It offers a permanent, full-time on-site position (40 hours/week) with diverse repair tasks, site safety, clear communication with clients, and reliable transport for site visits.

Qualificações

Handyman / Maintenance All-Rounder (Residential + Commercial)

Job Summary

Varied, hands-on maintenance work where you'll be trusted to run your own day, solve problems properly, and leave sites in better shape than you found them. This role exists to support a steady flow of residential and commercial maintenance requests, from quick fixes through to larger repair work. It will suit an experienced maintenance all-rounder who’s practical, client-facing, and comfortable working without being micromanaged. Sites will be mainly in the North Eastern suburbs from Thomastown to Knoxfield, with one based in Mornington (occasional trip).

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose fixes
• Complete general repairs including doors,anchors, fences, and day-to-day property maintenance items
• Patch and repair minor wall damage, and complete small carpentry jobs as required
• Replace basic fixtures and fittings and carry out spot checks / preventative maintenance
• Gardening and general property rubbish clearance
• Maintain a safe, clean work approach and keep accurate records of completed work
• Communicate clearly with clients about what you've found, what you're doing, and what's next

Requirements

• Demonstrated, extensive hands-on experience in handyman or maintenance work (the client is seeking 10+ years)
• Strong all-round practical capability across general maintenance and carpentry
• Competence across painting and plaster patching (alongside other trade skills)
• Confident working independently, planning your day, and keeping work standards high
• Strong customer service and communication skills (you will deal directly with clients)
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency
