Job summary

Crystalbrook Collection, Newcastle, is seeking a detail-minded Stores Assistant to support our hotel teams with stock, deliveries and inventory control. You will ensure accurate receiving, storage and distribution of goods across departments, maintain clean storerooms, and support safety procedures.

You will work closely with Procurement and hotel departments, contributing to smooth daily operations and an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores, warehousing, stock control, logistics or inventory management is preferred.
• A current Australian Driver's Licence (essential).
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence using computer systems for inventory management and data entry.
• The ability to safely lift, carry and move stock throughout the hotel.
• Knowledge of food safety, stock rotation and storage practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing deliveries accurately and safely.
• Ensuring all goods are inspected for quality and matched against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records through the hotel's procurement and inventory systems.
• Delivering stock efficiently to departments across the hotel in line with requisitions.
• Assisting with stocktakes and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Maintaining clean, organised and secure storerooms, cool rooms, freezers and loading dock areas.
• Rotating stock to ensure product quality and minimise waste.
• Processing invoices and supporting procurement administration.
• Monitoring stock levels and communicating shortages to the Procurement Manager.
• Supporting workplace health and safety, food safety and security procedures.
• Working collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Leading by example to create a positive, collaborative and Customer Obsessed culture.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Stores Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the hotel's daily operations by ensuring the efficient receiving, storage and distribution of goods across all departments.
