Job summary

Local Workforce Hire in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Warehouse Superintendent to oversee daily warehouse operations, lead a team and ensure efficient movement, storage and dispatch of goods. You will be a hands-on leader focused on operational efficiency, inventory control, and safety.

You will manage receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch, drive continuous improvement, and ensure accurate records and reporting.

Qualifications

Experience managing or supervising warehouse operations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems.
A sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift experience or a current forklift licence will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
Lead, supervise and develop warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.
Coordinate stock control, inventory accuracy and warehouse organisation.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.
Monitor productivity, identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
Coordinate deliveries, dispatch schedules and transport requirements.
Maintain accurate warehouse records and operational reporting.
Work closely with management and other departments to meet business requirements.
