Job summary

AKD Softwoods, Oberon operation, is seeking an emerging HR professional to join the site leadership team. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training coordination and leadership support to help run a large manufacturing operation.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll partner with leaders to deliver practical people solutions, maintain HR records, and foster a positive workplace culture while developing your HR capability in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR advisory, coordination, or business partner roles.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or related discipline (or working towards).
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Confidentiality and professional integrity are essential.
• Ability to influence through relationships, not authority.
• Interest in helping people and supporting leaders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating end-to-end recruitment activities across various roles.
• Supporting managers through onboarding and induction programs.
• Assisting with performance, conduct and employee relations processes.
• Providing advice to leaders on HR policies and workplace matters.
• Coordinating training, compliance and workforce development activities.
• Maintaining HR records, reporting and documentation.
• Supporting employee engagement and culture initiatives.
• Assisting with workforce planning and talent development.
