Job description

OZ Excavator Buckets is a Brisbane-based manufacturer and supplier of excavator buckets and earthmoving attachments.

Established in Brisbane in 1997, OZ has grown from a local workshop into a nationwide supplier while remaining family-owned and operated. In 2023, the business moved into its purpose-built facility in Oxley, expanding its manufacturing capability and supporting continued growth.

Our Oxley facility covers fabrication, welding, hydraulic attachment fit-out, quality assurance, painting, warehousing and dispatch. We are focused on producing high-quality attachments, maintaining strong manufacturing standards and continually improving our products and processes.

About the role

This is a hands-on Quality Assurance position combining inspection with practical boilermaking and welding work. The role will primarily involve inspecting excavator buckets and attachments manufactured by external suppliers, as well as supporting inspection of OZ-manufactured and modified attachments. The successful applicant will carry out dimensional and weld inspections, record inspection results and identify non-conformances. Welding, fabrication and repair of attachments will also form a regular part of the role and may be required daily, depending on incoming inspection results and workshop requirements.

Re-inspect repaired attachments and confirm they meet requirements before QA release.

Assist the Quality Manager with NCRs, supplier quality issues and inspection records.

Follow OZ Buckets' ISO 9001 Quality Management System, procedures and inspection requirements.

Work closely with Quality, Production, Engineering, Warehouse and Dispatch.

Support continual improvement of product quality and inspection processes.
