Job summary

Our client, a Sydney-based print and manufacturing business specialising in retail and supermarket signage, is seeking a hands-on Factory Supervisor to run the production floor, keeping jobs moving on time and safely while leading the team.

You will plan daily production across print, finishing and dispatch, supervise permanent and casual staff, and resolve bottlenecks to maintain quality and deadlines. The role includes safety leadership and collaboration with Print/Prepress teams.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a production or factory team.
• Strong planning and organisation skills.
• Hands-on leadership with ability to motivate a team.
• Sound WHS knowledge and safety mindset.
• Calm under pressure with practical problem-solving.
• Continuous-improvement mindset a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily production across print, finishing and dispatch.
• Lead and supervise the factory team (permanent and casual), allocating labour to hit deadlines.
• Keep jobs flowing to time and quality; spot and clear bottlenecks on the floor.
• Own workplace health & safety and housekeeping standards.
• Oversee equipment upkeep and coordinate with the Print and Prepress teams.
• Support training and cross-skilling of floor staff.
