Job summary

Metroll Lismore is seeking a hands-on Factory Manager to lead our factory operations, keep production moving safely and efficiently, and support our people in delivering high-quality products.

You will be a vital link between office, factory and transport teams, driving continuous improvement, coordinating with multiple functions and ensuring targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Hands-on factory leadership experience.
• Proven ability to motivate a team and drive high standards.
• Experience managing workflow, inventory, waste and rework.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Clear communication across office, floor and transport teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day factory operations and production schedules.
• Lead from the floor, setting clear expectations and driving high standards.
• Build team morale, accountability and a positive workplace culture.
• Coordinate closely with the office and transport teams to keep orders moving.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are met.
• Monitor inventory, stock usage, waste and rework, taking action to minimise losses.
• Identify production issues and implement practical solutions.
• Improve workflow, productivity and the use of labour and materials.
• Maintain strong workplace health and safety standards.
• Ensure equipment, work areas and processes are maintained to a high standard.
• Communicate production priorities, delays and issues across the business.
• Track performance and drive continuous improvement across factory operations.
