Job summary

Quick Up Hoardings is seeking a CAD Drafter / Estimator in Pyrmont, Sydney NSW. The role covers site measurements, AutoCAD 2D drawings, and estimating from enquiry through to installation. You will work with builders, project managers, engineers and site supervisors, coordinating installations and preparing detailed quotations.

The role offers growth into Project Management / Operations as the business expands, with diverse projects across NSW.

Qualifications

Hands-on site measurements and installation planning.
Ability to prepare fabrication workshop drawings with measurements and materials.
Estimating experience with supplier and subcontractor pricing.
Solid understanding of structural steel and connections.
Knowledge of SafeWork NSW codes and council requirements.

Responsibilities

Attend site to take measurements and identify installation issues.
Explain installation methods to clients and crews.
Lead or coordinate installations with the crew.
Prepare AutoCAD 2D drawings and site layouts for hoardings and temporary structures.
Prepare workshop drawings showing measurements, materials and cutting lengths.
Read and interpret architectural, structural, civil and survey drawings.
Prepare material and labour take-offs.
Prepare quotations and detailed scopes of work.
Ensure drawings meet SafeWork NSW Codes of Practice and council requirements.
