Job summary

Crossmuller is seeking a hands‑on Project Engineer to join our growing team near Gosford. You will lead end‑to‑end industrial and automation projects, develop mechanical designs, and collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to meet time and budget targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial settings, and strong CAD/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor‑qualified Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of hands‑on industry experience.
• Experience delivering projects within manufacturing, automation, or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (e.g. materials handling, plant layout, piping, machinery).
• Ability to balance design work with hands‑on, site‑based project delivery.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and solid MS Office skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects end‑to‑end — from concept and design through to installation and commissioning.
• Develop mechanical designs, specifications, and system layouts.
• Work closely with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot challenges during fabrication and site works.
• Manage project schedules, documentation, and reporting.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes, designs, and delivery outcomes.
