Job summary

Nepean Hospital is seeking a Haematology Trainee (Unaccredited) to support the Haematology Unit within a large tertiary hospital. The role, based at Kingswood NSW, involves patient management under supervision and exposure to a broad range of haematology cases in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Appointments are for a temporary full-time period from 01-Feb-2027 to 06-Feb-2028, with 38 hours per week and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Completed at least four postgraduate years and have completed or intend to complete the examination requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians may be considered.
• International Medical graduates must provide documentation of Australian Medical Council assessment and a report from the relevant College (RCPA or RACP) outlining their training and exam requirements.
• Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in the last 2 years in a setting appropriate to the needs of the position.

Responsibilities

• Haematology Trainees manage patients with a range of haematological conditions, including haemopoietic stem cell transplant patients at some centres, under supervision.
• Investigate clinical haematology consultations and attend patients and donors in ambulatory care and outpatient settings.
