Job summary

YMCA Victoria Point is seeking a Gymnastics Coordinator to lead and grow our gymnastics program on a full-time permanent basis. You will oversee our recreational and competitive programs, support the coaching team, and ensure high standards of coaching and program quality to grow participation in the local community.

Qualifications

• Intermediate or higher gymnastics coaching qualification; Advanced qualifications highly regarded.
• Current Technical Membership with Gymnastics Queensland.
• At least 12 months' experience in a similar role with staff supervision.
• Current Senior First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• National Police Check issued within last 6 months or willingness to obtain.
• A current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong practical knowledge across gymnastics programs.
• Ability to build relationships with participants, families, staff and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Proactive attitude with ability to grow participation and improve delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee recreational and competitive gymnastics programs.
• Lead, support and develop the coaching team for high-quality delivery.
• Deliver gymnastics classes when required and promote positive experiences.
• Develop and deliver staff training to maintain YMCA gymnastics standards.
• Work with team leaders to manage class rotations and current lesson plans.
• Identify opportunities to increase participation and grow the program.
