Job summary

Boxing Cartel Bendigo is seeking a hands-on Gym Manager to lead our welcoming boxing-based group training, oversee day-to-day operations, and drive membership engagement. You will co-manage casual boxing coaches, coordinate classes, and ensure the facility stays safe, clean and well-stocked.

You’ll report to the owner, receive training on our systems, and grow with a business that values respect, clear communication, initiative and genuine care for members.

Qualifications

• Respectful, an excellent communicator and highly organised.
• Dependable, coachable, positive and able to take initiative.
• Previous management experience is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, respectful community and build genuine relationships with members.
• Coach selected boxing-based group classes safely and consistently with our programming.
• Oversee facility readiness, cleanliness, equipment care and daily operational standards.
• Prepare coach rosters, organise shift cover and support staff performance.
• Manage enquiries, inductions, 21-Day Kickstart follow-ups and membership conversions.
• Support member retention, monitor growth and communicate updates to the owner.
• Seek owner approval for significant or unfamiliar decisions initially, gaining independence as trust and capability develop.
