Job summary

Crowne Plaza Perth is seeking a Part Time Guest Service Agent to deliver seamless service, handle transactions, offer local insights and create a warm, welcoming stay.

As a member of our Front Office team, you will handle check-in/check-out, manage payments, and assist with restaurant recommendations to ensure a memorable guest experience. Availability for a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Front Office experience or Opera (PMS) is highly regarded.
• Confidence to make the first move and Dare to Connect.
• Strong communication skills for guest interactions, inquiries and feedback.
• Problem-solving skills to turn issues into memorable experiences.
• Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
• Good literacy and basic maths; comfortable with computers.
• Unrestricted Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Initimate guests with a warm welcome and handle transactions.
• Take payments for bookings and assist with check-in/check-out.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide local insights and recommendations.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or by phone.
• Maintain a seamless and efficient front desk experience for all guests.
• Collaborate with team to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
• Remain approachable and responsive to guest inquiries and feedback.

Crowne Plaza Perth is a newly renovated riverside hotel located in beautiful East Perth with picturesque Langley Park at the doorstep.

The moment a guest steps into our hotel, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Guest Service Agent, you’ll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a seamless experience... you’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Daring to connect- be the one to make the first move with a guest; say hello first, take action first.
• Adapting to the moment- read a guests mood, change according to what they may need in that moment.
• Relating to our guests needs- ensure we know what is important to our guests and focus on perfecting this.
• Acknowledging IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or over the phone.
• Taking, managing, and receiving payments for guest bookings.
• Making the check-in and check-out process feel swift and seamless.
• Being our guests’ trusted contact – helping with everything from bill queries to restaurant recommendations.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in a Front Office position or with Opera (PMS) is highly regarded.
• Confidence to make the first move and Dare to Connect.
• Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to.
• Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including shifts on weekends and Public Holidays.
• Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential.
• Literate and tech-savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths and computer skills.
• Applicants must have unrestricted Australian working rights.
