Job summary

IFTAR, a Lebanese restaurant in Merrylands, NSW, seeks a friendly Waiter to join our team on a full-time basis. You will deliver an exceptional dining experience, greet customers, take orders, serve food and beverages, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication, works well under pressure, and is proficient with POS systems. Experience in hospitality and a customer-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or as a waiter is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organisation.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Team player and able to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
• Applicable food handling and safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Taking and processing customer orders accurately.
• Serving food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
• Ensuring tables are set up and cleaned to a high standard.
• Assisting with kitchen duties as required.
• Providing excellent customer service and resolving queries or complaints.
• Adhering to health, safety and hygiene regulations.
