Job summary

Highfields and District Medical Centre in Highfields, QLD, is seeking an organised Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a busy, growing medical centre. This hands-on leadership role requires working closely with doctors, nursing and reception teams to maintain a professional environment.

You will partner with the Lindsay Street Medical Manager to align staffing, systems, compliance and patient services across both sites, while guiding rostering, training and performance

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Practice Manager or senior medical administration role.
• Knowledge of general practice operations and workflows.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Highfields & District Medical Centre.
• Lead, support and manage reception and administrative staff.
• Collaborate with Lindsay Street Medical for joint operations.
• Support growth and development of the practice.
• Ensure staffing, systems and workflows evolve with growth.
• Staff rostering, leave management and workforce planning.
• Recruitment, onboarding and training of staff.
• Manage staff performance and professional development.
• Support doctors and clinical staff with operational needs.
• Maintain efficient patient workflows and high standards of service.
• Monitor Medicare, billing and administrative processes.
• Assist with budgets, expenses and performance.
