LogiHire Pty Ltd in Sydney's NSW region seeks an experienced Fleet Allocation Manager to own and optimize a multi-site heavy-vehicle fleet. You will lead allocators across sites, balance demand and capacity, and move trucks between divisions to maintain flow.
The role demands hands-on leadership, practical problem solving, and a strong focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency in bulk haulage and construction materials logistics.
Run the fleet behind one of NSW's biggest bulk landscape and construction materials businesses!
Every day our client's trucks move thousands of tonnes of bulk product between sites and out to trade customers, contractors and councils across Sydney and regional NSW. Seven days a week. Rigid tippers, truck-and-dog combinations, bulka bag deliveries, specialist blower units.
This is a long-established, privately owned business with a serious multi-site heavy-vehicle operation. The fleet has grown with the business and they now need one person to own it.
What you'll own
You'll run fleet allocation across the whole group, not one depot. You'll lead the allocators, lift utilisation and make sure the right truck is on the right job at the right site. When one division is flat out and another has trucks sitting, you move them.
Specifically:
Lead, train and back a team of transport allocators across multiple sites
Own allocation planning for the entire heavy-vehicle fleet
Shift trucks and trailers between divisions to match demand, not habit
Rebuild allocation and tracking so the business can see where every asset is and why
Keep driver requirements front of mind: fatigue, licensing, load limits, the lot
Work hands-on with allocators, drivers and site managers to fix problems on the ground, not from a spreadsheet
Why this one is worth a look
Real authority. You set how the fleet runs across the group.
Real volume. This is a busy, product-moving operation, not a quiet depot.
A privately owned business where decisions get made fast and good operators are noticed.
Based at Badgerys Creek, right in the middle of Western Sydney's growth corridor.
A fleet that's ready for someone to tighten it up. The gains are there to be made.
You'll be a fit if you have
Solid experience running heavy-vehicle fleet operations, ideally multi-site
Genuine working knowledge of truck-and-dog and truck-and-trailer combinations, payloads and mass limits
Experience allocating a mixed fleet and lifting utilisation
A track record of leading and developing allocators or dispatch teams
A practical, no-fuss operator's approach. You've been on the floor and you still like being there.
Bulk haulage, quarry, waste, construction materials or landscape supply backgrounds will all translate well.
