Job summary

Uralla Shire Council is seeking an experienced Group Manager Corporate Services to lead governance, risk, procurement, customer service, communications, ICT and integrated planning and reporting.

Reporting to the General Manager, this executive role provides strategic advice, ensures legislative compliance and drives organisational performance, with a generous relocation package to support your move to regional NSW.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Group Manager Corporate Services is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for leading Council's corporate services portfolio and driving organisational excellence across governance, risk, procurement, customer service, communications, ICT and integrated planning and reporting. This influential leadership role provides strategic advice to the General Manager, Council and Executive, while ensuring robust governance, legislative compliance, organisational performance and continuous improvement across the organisation. As Public Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Council's future direction, strengthening corporate capability, and delivering high-quality services that support the long-term aspirations of the Uralla community.

About You

You are a strategic and contemporary executive leader with demonstrated experience in governance, risk management, corporate services and organisational leadership. You bring proven expertise in applying legislation, developing compliance frameworks and leading complex service areas while fostering a high-performing and customer-focused culture. You are an influential communicator with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement, political acumen and the ability to provide trusted advice to executives, councillors and community stakeholders. Experience in local government, public administration, corporate governance or a related field will be highly regarded.
