Job summary

Miller Leith is partnering with a well-established Australian business on the Gold Coast seeking a commercially minded Group Management Accountant to drive financial performance and support growth. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting while leading the AP and AR teams and driving process improvements.

• Degree-qualified in Accounting or Finance with CA/CPA qualification.
• Strong experience in management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with multi-site or operationally complex businesses is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial statements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Prepare management reports and analyse financial performance

• Support group consolidation and board reporting

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis, providing insights to support business performance and strategic decision-making. You’ll also lead the AP and AR teams, improve financial processes and partner with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial statements

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with AASB 16 software
• Experience with consolodation and statutory reporting
• Degree-qualified in Accounting or Finance, with CA or CPA qualification
• Strong experience across management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Commercially minded, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and operational teams
• Previous team leadership or people management experience
• Advanced Excel and strong financial systems experience
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience in a multi-site or operationally complex business will be highly regarded
