As our business continues to evolve, we are looking for a capable and commercially focused finance professional to help strengthen our financial performance, reporting capability and business planning processes.

Job Description
About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Group Management Accountant will oversee key financial reporting and planning activities, provide meaningful commercial analysis and support strategic business decisions.

Combining strong technical accounting expertise with a commercial mindset, you will work closely with the CFO, senior leadership and operational stakeholders to deliver accurate financial information, identify performance improvement opportunities and support the achievement of business objectives.

The role will also have direct management responsibility for the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams, providing leadership, coaching and development to ensure efficient and effective finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Business Operations

Manage month‑end accounting processes, including general ledger reconciliations and the preparation of monthly financial statements.

Assist with group consolidation and the preparation of board reporting packs.

Deliver monthly actual versus budget analysis, including meaningful commentary on financial performance, variances and emerging trends.

Lead the annual budgeting process and contribute to regular forecasting activities across the business.

Support financial evaluation of projects, investments and business initiatives.

Investigate and resolve accounting and financial issues across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journals, leases and right‑of‑use (ROU) assets, budgets and cash flow.

Provide backup payroll support when required.

Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with relevant accounting standards and internal requirements.

Commercial Analysis & Business Partnering

Lead the annual business planning cycle and coordinate regular forecasts in consultation with key stakeholders.

Provide commercial insights, financial analysis and actionable recommendations to support the CFO and senior leadership team in strategic decision‑making.

Identify key business drivers, financial risks and opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance.

Work with the CFO to evaluate investment opportunities and contribute to the development of the organisation's investment strategy.

Develop and enhance performance analytics, including predictive analysis, to improve understanding of business trends and future opportunities.

Partner with operational and functional teams to strengthen financial accountability and support informed business decisions.

Identify and implement improvements to budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial control processes.

Evaluate finance systems and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency across the organisation.

Establish and promote best‑practice financial processes in collaboration with the wider Finance team and business leadership.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial visibility, reporting capability and business performance.

Leadership & Team Development

Directly manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring accurate, timely and efficient delivery of finance operations.

Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability, accountability and performance.

Support recruitment, performance management and ongoing development of direct reports.

Establish clear priorities, deadlines and performance expectations while fostering a collaborative and service‑oriented team culture.

About You

You are a proactive and commercially astute accounting professional who combines strong technical accounting skills with the ability to interpret financial information and influence business outcomes. You are comfortable working at both a detailed operational level and a broader strategic level, and you enjoy building relationships across a diverse organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

CPA or CA qualification.

Demonstrated experience in management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Strong technical accounting knowledge, including month‑end processes, general ledger reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

Experience analysing financial performance, investigating variances and providing commercial insights to senior stakeholders.

Proven ability to develop budgets, forecasts and management reporting that support business planning and decision‑making.

Experience managing, coaching or developing a finance team, ideally across accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and reporting tools.

A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement more efficient processes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear, practical recommendations.
