Job summary

Grant Executive Search presents an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished senior finance leader to join a leading Australian financial services organisation as Head of Group Financial Control. Reporting to the General Manager, Financial Control, you will safeguard the financial integrity of a large, complex group and oversee statutory, investor and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• CA qualification and strong experience in financial control and reporting.
• Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams in complex environments.
• Extensive experience with statutory and regulatory reporting and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead Group statutory, investor and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain a robust financial control framework.
• Provide technical accounting leadership on complex transactions.
• Oversee consolidation across multiple legal entities and investment structures.
• Lead external audit planning, execution and stakeholder engagement.
• Present financial insights to the Board and Audit & Risk Committee.
• Drive transformation, automation and process improvement in finance.
• Develop and lead the financial control team.
• Maintain Group accounting policies and ensure consistent application.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Tax and business leaders to support strategic outcomes.
• Provide accounting and due diligence expertise across acquisitions and restructures.
