Job summary

Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville is seeking enthusiastic Group Facilitators on a casual basis to join our Group Therapy Team, delivering evidence-based group therapy and completing clinical assessments across day and evening shifts.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a private mental health facility, contributing to program development and ongoing evaluation while ensuring a supportive, recovery-oriented care environment for our patients.

Qualifications

• Current registration and experience in mental health across listed professions.
• Experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals with complex mental health presentations in group settings.
• Knowledge of evidence-based approaches including DBT, CPT, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.
• Demonstrated expertise in group facilitation and therapeutic group processes.
• Ability to attune to participant needs, emotions, and non-verbal communication.
• Capable of managing group dynamics to foster a safe, inclusive, and balanced environment.
• High self-awareness, reflective practice and emotional resilience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
• Commitment to service development and continuous quality improvement.
• AHPRA Approved Supervisor status.
• Recent inpatient or day patient mental health experience.
• Training in Addictions.
• Training in eating disorders.
• Training or knowledge in trauma-informed practice.

Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville is seeking enthusiastic Group Facilitators to join our dedicated Group Therapy Team on a casual basis, with opportunities to work across both day and evening shifts.

About the Role

You will join a compassionate and supportive multi-disciplinary team and will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based group therapy, complete clinical assessments and contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of our group programs.

Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville, a private mental health facility, offers a range of specialist programs in a calm, welcoming and restorative environment. Our programs are managed, facilitated, and supported by an experienced, multidisciplinary team of health professionals.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring clinical experience in therapy interventions, preferably within a hospital or specialist mental health setting. You will have a passion for evidence-based treatment, a commitment to recovery-oriented care, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

• Current registration and experience as a Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Nurse Therapist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with demonstrated experience in mental health.
• Experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals with complex mental health presentations and/or co‑occurring substance use disorders in group settings.
• Knowledge of, and experience applying, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including one or more of the following: DBT, CPT, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.
• Demonstrated expertise in group facilitation, psychoeducation, and therapeutic group processes.
• Strong ability to attune to participant needs, emotions, and non‑verbal communication.
• Proven capability to effectively manage group dynamics while fostering a safe, inclusive, and balanced therapeutic environment.
• High level of self‑awareness, reflective practice, and emotional resilience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient‑centred care.
• Commitment to service development, innovation, and continuous quality improvement.
• AHPRA Approved Supervisor (Board‑Approved Supervisor status).
• Recent experience in an inpatient or day patient mental health setting.
• Training and experience in Addictions
• Training and experience in eating disorders.
• Training or demonstrated knowledge in trauma‑informed practice
