Job summary

James Pascoe Group is seeking a Group Bulk Warehouse Manager for our Distribution Centre in Summer Hill, Sydney NSW. You will lead a team of Warehouse Assistants, drive operational excellence, and ensure inventory accuracy across our national network, while upholding safety standards.

Reporting to the Group Distribution Manager, you will partner with Buying, Merchandise and Logistics to optimise stock flow, reduce costs and deliver exceptional service to our stores.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Warehouse Manager, Distribution Centre Manager or similar leadership role.
• Current Forklift Licence.
• Proven experience managing warehouse operations, inventory control and stock accuracy.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
• Experience conducting performance reviews and developing high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of freight, logistics and dispatch processes.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
• Experience managing operational costs, budgets and supplier relationships.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail with accuracy and compliance.
• Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Warehouse Assistants to achieve objectives.
• Take ownership of warehouse performance, safety, service levels and standards.
• Conduct performance reviews and support development and succession.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy and efficiency; drive continuous improvements.
• Manage operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities across freight and operations.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through stock takes and cycle counts.
• Oversee courier, freight and transport providers to improve service and reduce costs.
• Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, dispatch and replenishment.
• Support new store openings, relocations and refurbishments with packaging and equipment coordination.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Buying, Merchandise, Marketing, Logistics and Loss Prevention.

About the role

As the Group Bulk Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, management and continuous improvement of warehouse operations within our Distribution Centre.

Reporting to the Group Distribution Manager, you will lead a team of Warehouse Assistants and take ownership of warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, transport management, operational efficiency and safety compliance.

Working closely with Buying, Merchandise, Marketing, Logistics, Distribution and Loss Prevention teams, you will play a key role in ensuring products are received, stored and distributed accurately and efficiently while delivering exceptional service to stores across our national network.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, inventory control, logistics coordination, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.

What will you do?

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Warehouse Assistants to achieve operational and business objectives.
• Take ownership of warehouse performance, safety, service levels and operational standards.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and support the ongoing development and succession of team members.
• Monitor warehouse productivity, accuracy and efficiency, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage warehouse operating expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities across freight, consumables and operations.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through effective stock control, stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Oversee courier, freight and transport providers and identify opportunities to improve service and reduce costs.
• Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, dispatch and stock replenishment activities.
• Support new store openings, relocations and refurbishments through the coordination of packaging, displays and equipment.
• Build strong relationships and work closely with Buying, Merchandise, Marketing, Logistics and Loss Prevention teams to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with audits, stock investigations and inventory control initiatives.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
