Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a motivated Casual Groundsperson to help maintain the grounds of a prestigious educational campus on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

You will assist with gardens, turf areas, sporting facilities and open spaces, performing mowing, edging, pruning and general upkeep. The role involves operating equipment safely and supporting event readiness, in a varied outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture is desirable.
• Current drivers licence is required.
• White Card and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens, turf areas, sporting facilities and open spaces.
• Mow, edge, hedge, prune, weed, plant, mulching and general grounds upkeep.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment including mowers, whipper snippers, blowers and hedgers.
• Prepare and present grounds for daily use and events.
• Load, unload and transport equipment, materials and green waste as required.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures.

About the Role

Green by Nature is seeking a motivated and reliable Casual Groundsperson to join our team maintaining the grounds of a prestigious educational campus on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

In this hands-on role, you\'ll assist with the upkeep and presentation of expansive green spaces, sports fields, gardens and surrounding landscapes. Working alongside an experienced team, you\'ll help ensure the grounds are maintained to the highest standard while enjoying a varied, active role in a unique outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance and presentation of gardens, turf areas, sporting facilities and open spaces.
• Carry out tasks such as mowing, edging, hedging, pruning, weeding, planting, mulching and general grounds upkeep.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment including mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, hedgers and other powered tools.
• Support the preparation and presentation of grounds for day-to-day use and special events.
• Load, unload and transport equipment, materials and green waste as required.
• Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental procedures.

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture or a similar outdoor role (desirable but not essential).
• The ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• A current driver\'s licence.
• A White Card and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.
