Nerang Caravan Park on the Gold Coast seeks a reliable Groundsman / Handyman for a full-time role based in Nerang, QLD 4211. You will maintain grounds, facilities and park infrastructure, ensuring a safe, attractive environment for guests and residents.

This hands-on position offers outdoor work, practical tasks in landscaping, painting, minor carpentry and equipment servicing. The successful candidate will be safety‑minded, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently with good time

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of using gardening and maintenance equipment, tools and machinery safely.
• Practical skills in basic repairs, painting, minor carpentry and general upkeep work.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices relevant to maintenance and grounds work.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performing regular grounds maintenance including lawn mowing, garden upkeep, pathway cleaning and general landscaping.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs to caravan park facilities, buildings and infrastructure.
• Maintaining and servicing equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, tools and other park machinery.
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues and hazards to management promptly.
• Undertaking handyman tasks such as painting, pruning, pool repairs and general minor carpentry work.
• Ensuring common areas including gardens, pathways, amenity blocks and recreational areas are kept clean and well‑presented.

Nerang Caravan Park is seeking a reliable and skilled Groundsman / Handyman to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a practical, hands‑on position based in Nerang, QLD 4211, where you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, facilities and general infrastructure of our caravan park. You will play a vital role in ensuring our park remains an attractive, safe and well‑maintained environment for our guests and residents. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilise a variety of practical skills, and take pride in maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Performing regular grounds maintenance including lawn mowing, garden upkeep, pathway cleaning and general landscaping
• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs to caravan park facilities, buildings and infrastructure
• Maintaining and servicing equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, tools and other park machinery
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues and hazards to management promptly
• Undertaking handyman tasks such as painting, pruning, pool repairs and general minor carpentry work
• Ensuring common areas including gardens, pathways, amenity blocks and recreational areas are kept clean and well‑presented
• Assisting with seasonal maintenance projects and grounds improvements
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and work completed
• Adhering to health and safety standards and best practices whilst undertaking all duties

What we’re looking for
